Ministry History

Lee’s ministry spans decades of service through teaching, preaching worship leading, and songwriting. His foundational years included extensive Bible study under local and international teachers, and deep involvement in prayer ministries.

Some milestones in Lee’s ministry include:

Producing and distributing multiple contemporary Christian and worship albums

Jesus Is God was the first Christian album manufactured in Russia and distributed in music stores throughout Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Siberia and the Far East.

Lee Behnken is the first American to perform in Uzbekistan (Tashkent Newspaper).

First concert tour in Siberia (Rock Asia).

Lee has taught numerous praise and worship seminars in Asia including in the “underground churches” of closed nations.

Live appearances before a million people in the Philippines and performances on national Filipino TV and radio programs singing The Christian Anthem and Someone to Love Me.

Lee sang his song Your First Love on national TV in Wuhan China… a historical first time performance of Christian music on Chinese national TV during China’s New Year celebration.

Performances in many Asian nations with a very special first time concert for the South Korean army along Korea’s DMZ.

Leading worship for Vision For Israel during their Feast of Tabernacles celebrations in Jerusalem.

Most of Lee’s lead vocals for the Song of All Songs project were recorded by Eli Ben-Moshe and Marc Chopinsky at Tents of Mercy congregation in Kiryat Yam, Israel in the recording studio founded by Eli’s father, Marc Chopinsky.

Launching the “Song of All Songs” 8 chapter/80 songs recording and devotional project

Creating a comprehensive Study Guide/Workbook for spiritual growth through the Song of Solomon.

Lee continues to write, teach, and record from his home in Brookville, Ohio, where he seeks to help others grow more deeply in love with Jesus through the poetry and power of the Word of God.
